The Palomar Starlux 500 uses both laser technology and intense pulse light (IPL) technology in the treatment of various dermatological conditions. This new and improved version of the Palomar Starlux 300 model can perform just about any aesthetic procedure, from facial vein treatment to skin tightening, and many other skin rejuvenation procedures. The major difference between the Starlux 300 and Starlux 500 is the built-in cooling system. The Palomar Starlux 500 provides very fast cooling. Only one minute after you have plugged in the handpiece, the laser system is cool already. In comparison, the Starlux 300 can take more than five minutes before it is cool.
