The Cutera Excel V laser system is a new state-of-the-art laser technology for vascular skin conditions. It is designed to enhance patient safety and comfort. The ultimate goal of laser treatment is to induce controlled damage to the affected blood vessels through destruction of hemoglobin while minimizing injury to adjacent structures. To accomplish this, the Cutera Excel V utilizes a long-pulsed Nd: YAG laser that targets and destroys the abnormal or damaged blood vessels responsible for the vascular condition.
In fact, the device is the only tunable laser system on the market that combines two ultra-precise wavelengths (532 nm and 1064 nm) in one device. After the body naturally eliminates these cells, the skin will return to its normal tone and texture. The machine can be altered to be compatible with each patient’s skin condition. The Cutera Excel V also has an adjustable spot size which allows for precise and effective treatment from both superficial and deeper problems. To ensure patient comfort, the machine uses new cooling technologies which produce continuous cooling before, during and after the laser pulse.
